Designed specifically for domestic properties, the VM range is known as the traditional “Thro’ Floor Lift” and is designed for 2 stop applications only.
The unit consists of a semi enclosed cabin (enclosed on all 4 sides upto 1100mm) with a ceiling/floor section which enables the unit to be installed without a shaft and therefore utilise the whole room space when the lift is not at that floor.
This situation is created by only having a simple mast framework bolted to the wall (requires structural wall) at the rear of the unit and the lift will travel up this mast framework and serve the 2 floors. The ceiling section is “set” so that when the lift is at the lower floor, this section creates the “Floor”of the upper level, therefore allowing this space in the room above to be used as normal.
The unit comes in a range of basic sizes, but is essentially either a seated unit or a wheelchair unit. The wheelchair unit can be designed for either standard or large wheelchairs and the unit’s load capacity is 225Kg.
These units are simple to install and are a major part of our offering to the council markets as they are easy to specify, use and maintain and therefore offers a wide flexibility at a reasonable cost.
