The Step lift market is made up of several different types of step lift and was initially created to fulfil the market for low rise vertical access to overcome travels of upto 500mm. This has been steadily increased in both technological and aesthetic aspects with the travel distances steadily increasing to reach upto 2 metres, but still adhering to the specific legislation requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), BS8300 and Building Regulations Part ’M’
This Step lift market has several types of lift from the traditional low rise step lifts LR800/900 which have the option of upto 4 “bridging steps” and travels of 500mm – 1000mm, upto fully encased lifts Hiro 450 for more specific applications, and incorporating travels of 500mm upto 2000mm (supplied in increments of 500mm). These lifts can be installed in either internal or external to give full market coverage.
All of our step lift products are specifically designed for ease of installation and in most external applications can be simply “dropped into place” (with use of lifting equipment).
Each unit comes fully assembled as standard (but can be ordered in component form where access routes are restricted). This can be a major advantage during the lift installation period and again subsequently should these units require relocation.
This situation is possible due to the specific design of the units which allows the vertical travel height to be set during the lift installation process (ie: a recent council project required 1300mm travel and due to the incremental design of the Hiro 450 unit we supplied a 1500mm travel unit and set the height to suit).
We can satisfy most specification requirements and have many years’ experience of customer specific applications and have often been asked to utilise our in house project management expertise to ensure we deliver the right product to suit commercial, retail, private and in- particularly council applications.
