Inclined Platform Lifts

The Inclined platform lift market was specifically created to enhance the overall platform lift offering to the general marketplace and is positioned to cover the applications where a vertical platform lift is either impossible to fit or simply impractical for the location.

An inclined platform lift is a specialised lift which travels up a purpose built rail arrangement which follows the stair line and angle. These units are fully automatic and fold away when not in use in order to keep the stairways clear for able bodied usage when the lift is not required.

Our inclined platform lifts are ideal for installation in public buildings, such as leisure and education facilities, retail and office buildings. Each instance where our inclined platform lift solutions are specified will help ensure your project meets the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), BS8300 and Building Regulations Part ’M’

The Inclined platform lift market has two fundamental types of lift, the traditional straight inclined platform lift H350 or the more sophisticated and complicated solution of the H320 curved inclined platform lift. Both of which can be supplied wall-mounted or stair mounted to suit the application and both lift types can be installed in either internal or external locations to give full market coverage.

We have flexibility within these ranges to cover most applications from a simple couple of stairs to highly complicated spiral and multi flight staircases and can provide both inside and outside curves to suit the specific project.

This flexibility does not only cover the rail arrangements, but incorporates a standard range of platform sizes from the DDA regulation size of 800mm x 1250mm, down to 620mm x 800mm in some case (although dispensation against building control & DDA regulations will be required). However, this allows us to install these lifts into very narrow staircase applications (subject to site survey).

In addition to this, we have a full colour range (RAL Colours) to suit the application, which helps the lift blend into its surroundings, particularly for more prestigious or listed building projects.
