Helping Business and Organisations to Comply with the DDA
Its quite hard to imagine the world without the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) but prior to the 1995 Act things were in fact very different when it came to passenger lifts and access services in the UK.
Larger organisations and in particular Government based buildings have, for generations set standards for the provision of lift and elevator facilities for the disabled and infirm but many commercial organisations took liberty for many years in failing to provide rights of access for such people.
The introduction of the 1995 DDA has, without a doubt managed to help that situation and along the way since the initial introduction of the Act there have been supplementary reviews and amendments that have further added regulation to help the disabled and their right to access. One of the most significant changes was the 2004 DDA Part III which effectively set new standards for the delivery of barrier free access in literally all commercial and organisational facilities including areas of public access and congregation.
Over the years All Axcess has maintained a reputation for the delivery of products and services to the very highest standards possible, helping such companies and organisations to deliver compliant platform lifts and passenger lift facilities throughout the UK. We have helped companies and service providers overcome some of the most challenging dilemmas presented to them in complying with aspects of the DDA and our specialist knowledge in providing these passenger and disabled lift solutions has helped us deliver a consistent and trusted service.
