The Hiro 450 vertical step lift has been specifically designed where a travel of more than the traditional 1m short rise step lift is required and it is not practical to install either an inclined or larger vertical platform lift. These days the step lift is a widely accepted means of short rise vertical transport for the wheelchair users and others with reduced mobility. Being found in both public and private situations, the rugged Stainless Steel structure is suited to both internal and external applications alike making the Hiro 450 a truly stylish and versatile solution.

We have developed a unique drive 24 vdc quarto rack and pinion drive system using a separate synchronised drive at each corner of the platform producing a rigid lifting platform capable of lifting a load of 300kg up to a maximum travel of 2.3 meters via our new telescopic versions. The Hiro 450 shows no noticeable flexing or tilting of the platform a normal characteristic of the more commonly used hydraulic scissor lifts.

Again in this highly competitive market place cost is of key importance and whilst we have selected to use the finest materials we have made the installation of the product as simple and easy as possible. Additional site preparation is again very straight forward no expensive pit construction is required and no additional space is required for a separate hydraulic power pack as the Hiro 450 is self contained within its own foot print dimensions. Our only requirement is for a solid constructed level floor capable of taking the minimal loadings and an isolator terminated single phase power supply site close to the lift.

Safety and ride in most cases an aluminium half height gate is supplied complete with integrated electro mechanical door lock for safety which can be automated if required. On the lower entry side of the platform mechanically operated compliant ramp and barrier arm to protect the lift user in normal applications. We recommend an additional half height gate on the unit itself for the longer travel lifts, from 1500mm and above. In addition we have a robust aluminium shield wall to prevent entry under the platform when the lift is in use.

Versatility in design the Hiro 450 can be used as a temporary solution due to its unique modular construction it can be adjusted to operate at any travel height within the models defined range. With vandal resistant cab controls and wireless landing call stations which can be hand held if required the Hiro 450 could be your unique temporary event solution.

Service and maintenance requirements are minimal and in most cases only an annual service visit by our Hiro trained engineer is required. The Hiro 450 is both type approved and CE marked in line with the DDA & Doc M recommendations
